Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on selvittää, miten alakouluikäiset oppilaat luovat merkityksiä etunimelleen ja lempinimelleen sekä rakentavat identiteettiään käsitellessään nimeään. Nimen ja identiteetin merkityksellinen yhteys on havaittu aiemmassa kirjallisuudessa; aihe on kuitenkin saanut verrattain vähän huomiota aiemmissa suomalaisissa tutkimuksissa. Kahdeksantoista 6. luokan oppilasta osallistui tiedon tuottamiseen. Osallistujat valmistivat portfolion ja jälkikäteen 12 heistä osallistui puolistrukturoituun haastatteluun. Este artículo examina cómo la página web hotelera mercantiliza valores simbólicos abstractos, y de qué manera ello incide en la construcción discursiva de un actor social 'turista'. Para ello se propone un análisis cualitativo desde el marco del Análisis Crítico del Discurso, concretamente desde la vertiente socio-cultural de Fairclough (2002), que a su vez parte del sistema de transitividad de Halliday (1985). Building teacher identity through the process of positioning

This study explores teacher identity work in the context of a one-year programme, Pedagogical Studies for Adult Educators. The data consist of weekly learning diaries written by Anna, a university teacher, during one academic year. The diaries are analysed by means of dialogically oriented narrative analysis leaning on Bakhtinian notions of voicing and ventriloquation. The results show how Anna positions her storytelling and narrated self in relation to relevant characters by voicing and evaluating these characters. The construct of positioning provides tools for understanding the relationship between the self and others in teacher identity. peerReviewed

Tämän pro gradu-tutkielman tarkoituksena on tarkastella kahden kaksikielisen perheen jäsenten identiteetin rakentumista. Vaikka kaksikielisyyttä perheissä on tutkittu laajalti, identiteetin rakentumisen näkökulmasta tutkimuksia on suhteellisen vähän. Tutkimus on luonteeltaan laadullinen ja tavoitteena oli selvittää miten perheenjäsenet kuvaavat identiteettiään ja identifioituvat kieliinsä sekä millaisia identiteettejä he rakentavat itselleen. The study aimed at investigating how different young people going through the post-high school transition set, monitor, pursue, and renegotiate career goals in real-time and in everyday life circumstances. This article presents some of the results from a broader research study of management styles within the Catalan university world. Two management styles are defined (the collegial and the managerial) and a relationship is established between some of the characteristics of these styles, some discursive features and the gender of the managers. Specifically, an analysis is made of the linguistic markers pertaining to the deictic modality in the discourse that constructs the identity of the analysed individuals.
